Yesterday, Republican John Boehner escalated his campaign to become the next Speaker of the House. He gave a "major speech" in Cleveland -- much-hyped by his staffers, who told reporters that this, finally, was the moment when the GOP would introduce its economic agenda.

After all the build-up, all we heard was another list of what Republicans are against.

Every supposedly new idea was more of the same. He wants to extend the Bush tax cuts for the rich. He wants to repeal health insurance reform. He opposes clean-energy legislation.

Nothing he offered would move America forward.

The only thing Boehner seems serious about is raising campaign cash. After the speech, he told reporters that he's prepared to help Republicans spend $50 million to win back Congress.

We can already guess what he'll do: tap the special interests. He'll work the phones and call in every favor. He'll lean on the big-dollar donors and the corporate lobbyists.

Democrats have a different plan. We're asking supporters like you to make a contribution to the By the People Fund. If we can collect 3 million grassroots donations, we can compete with the Republicans in every race. And so far, that's exactly what we're doing.

Can you chip in $3 or more to help keep up the pace?

On Tuesday, Boehner said his party deserves to win because it's time to "put the grown-ups in charge." What a bunch of nonsense.

The last time he and Republicans were in charge, they took a $237 billion budget surplus and transformed it into a $1.3 trillion deficit. They doubled the national debt and drove the economy into a ditch.

Under Boehner, this country would go right back to the failed Republican policies that cost us 8 million jobs, left the middle class in economic peril, and shifted our tax burden to the middle class by giving $100,000+ tax breaks to the wealthy.

To make sure that doesn't happen, we're planning to outwork the GOP in every district with a competitive race. We will knock on doors, make calls, and build the case for Democrats across the country.

But we're talking about the most aggressive voter turnout campaign for a midterm election in history. We need your help to get it done.

Last week, wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies won a major victory when a federal court reinstated federal protections for these animals.

But with Idaho officials still seeking to kill hundreds of wolves, Montana likely to follow1 and Wyoming officials still pursuing a deadly shoot-on-sight wolf management plan2, our work to ensure a long-term recovery for these magnificent animals is far from over.

Please take action today to urge Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to seize this opportunity to get things right for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies.

Federal officials now have an opportunity to take the lead and work with state governments, ranchers, conservationists and other stakeholders to move away from hostile rhetoric and political deadlock and toward long-term recovery for some of America’s most iconic wolves.

There used to be a series call The F B I; WITH Eram zimmulas JR that showed how the Fbi worked and the hero's they are puting bank robbers; embezzers and other crimals in jail. i have a quick question for the F B I agent's in my adance out there wouldn't corperateism be concidered fraud or embezzelment to give millions of dollars to a CEO who's company lost money? to the point that the company fails; i'm not pretenting to know the law; i'm just a paper pusher. but it's seem weird to me that kind of conduct isn't illeagle in some way. to blint the investers out of a fair return 0n there money and closing down causing job loses.

On March 7th, 1965, 600 of us lined up to walk from Selma to Montgomery, to march for voting rights.

When we tried to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge over the Alabama River, we were met by state troopers. They attacked us with tear gas, bullwhips, and nightsticks.

It became known as Bloody Sunday, and the national outcry over the brutality that day led to the enactment, exactly 45 years ago today, of the Voting Rights Act.

The progress we've made since then is remarkable.

But the expansion of voting rights for millions did not happen overnight. It was the product of a continued struggle, by many people, over many years.

And just as change did not come easily then, it does not come easily now.

Discrimination still exists in America -- its effects can be as harmful as they were decades ago. And we can always become a better, more just society.

Two years ago, this movement -- led by Barack Obama -- brought millions of people into the political process for the first time.

I'm told that many of you are working hard now to get as many as possible of those folks -- and others from across the country who are with us in these fights -- to the polls this year.

It's an important effort, and the legacy of the fight for the Voting Rights Act is that it is not only our right to vote, and to help others do so -- it is our duty.

Can I count on you to help out between now and the elections in November?

When I was a child, I tasted the bitter fruits of racial discrimination -- and I did not like it.

That was what spurred me to act. In those early days, we sacrificed our very selves for our rights as Americans. But we never gave up.

And now barriers that kept an entire people from full participation in this country have been removed.

No longer are people who look like me met with violence when we register to vote.

No longer is the idea that an African American could become president just a dream.

We live in a better world, a better country.

But our work is not complete. We cannot wait for someone else to make change.

We must all do it. You must do it. I must do it.

In the dallas moring news there was case of a a child rape a man his girlfriend moved into a motel the children were put into a bathroom starved and the girl of 11 was raped by her boyfriend and she loved him and called him daddy .the trail isn't over yet he is looking at life in prison if convicted. the girl compained that this MAN RAPED her And her mom whoped her for saying that the bath room was filled with feces and filth when she was saved. a story like this bothers the hell out of me don't ungerstand why this kind of stuff happenes.all i know is it makes me Mad

In the dallas moring news there was case of a a child rape a man his girlfriend moved into a motel the children were put into a bathroom starved and the girl of 11 was raped by her boyfriend and she loved him and called him daddy .the trail isn't over yet he is looking at life in prison if convicted. the girl compained that this MAN RAPED her And her mom whoped her for saying that the bath room was filled with feces and filth when she was saved. a story like this bothers the hell out of me don't ungerstand why this kind of stuff happenes.all i know is it makes me Mad
