Early voting is currently underway and runs through October 29! Let your voice be heard by choosing the candidates that best reflect your views on the issues most important to you.
At AARP, we're here to help:
1. Learn about the Candidates
See where candidates stand on the issues most important to you with our voters’ guide, which includes the Texas governor and U.S. House races. 2. Vote Early
During early voting, you don't need to vote in your precinct. You can cast your ballot at any early voting site in your county. Choose the polling place and time that's most convenient for you. 3. Come Prepared
Bring your voter registration card with you to cast your vote. Lost or misplaced it? Be prepared to show another form of identification, such as your Texas driver's license card, a birth certificate or a passport.
Many counties now use voting machines. Find out which machine your county uses and learn how to use it before you go to cast your vote. While you’re at it, know your rights as a registered voter in Texas.
Don't forget to vote! Can't vote early? Don't forget to go to the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2.
