Dear Arnold,

She's at it again. Seven weeks and now seven negative attack ads - that's the extent of Michele Bachmann's contribution to this campaign so far.

Bachmann has done nothing for her constituents, and she clearly can't win by running on her real record of standing up for the powerful special interests in Washington, so all she can do is mislead voters about Tarryl Clark's record. It's what George W. Bush called "catapulting the propaganda" - it doesn't have to be true, as long as you say it enough times.

Earlier today, we launched a new online fundraising goal to help us keep holding Bachmann accountable for her ridiculous rhetoric. Will you contribute $10, $25 or $50 today?

In the first 279 days of 2010, Michele Bachmann has spent only a handful of hours in her district at forums where her constituents might be able to ask her a question or discuss the challenges they face without being screened or hand-picked.

Now, with Congress in recess, Bachmann is refusing debates and is still nowhere to be found. What is she doing that's more important than interacting with her constituents? Why is she so afraid to discuss her record, and what she really thinks about the issues of the day? The answer is obvious: the more voters hear from Michele Bachmann, or about her real record of standing with the powerful special interests, the less inclined they are to vote for her.
